Bespoke Bridal Gowns

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long does it take to make a gown?
I recommend allowing 6 - 9 months for the creation of your gown; however in some situations I will endeavour to cater to a shorter time frame.
How much do you charge for a bespoke bridal gown?
Prices generally range from $4,500 - $8,500 with the final price determined by style, fabric and embellishment. As a rough guide please see the cost breakdown below:
- Fitted or a-line gowns with no embellishment from $4,500
- Ball gowns crafted from layers of tulle with little or no embellishment from $5,800
- Gowns with embellishments or lace trickling from the waist down from $6,500
- Fully embellished or lace gowns from $8,000
Do you design other dresses?
Yes, I can create any dress or outfit you would like such as bridesmaids, engagement party, mother of the bride, or for any other special events. Prices start from $800.
Do you make everything yourself?
Yes, all gowns are handcrafted by myself.
Where are you located?
I have recently relocated Wandiligong, Victoria and am in the process of setting up my new home studio.
Can I supply my own fabric?
Yes, you are more than welcome to supply your own fabrics; however, if I believe they will affect the quality of the gown I will advise against incorporating them.  If you chose to provide fabrics, you should purchase the required quantity as advised by myself. Please note that insufficient amounts of fabric will affect the ability to complete the gown as specified in the quote.
What should I bring to my design consultation and fittings?
Please bring along any inspirational images you have collected to your design consultation. When the time comes for fittings, I ask that you wear the shoes and undergarments you intend to wear on the day of your wedding, this will ensure the most accurate fit.
What if I found a dress that I love but I can’t buy it anywhere?
I'm happy to take inspiration from existing gowns; however, I will not replicate another designer's work. We will need to design something completely unique to you.
Do you do alterations?
Unfortunately, I currently have no capacity for alteration work.
What if I don’t know what I want?
During your design consultation, we will experiment with different skirt and bodice silhouettes. This will narrow down the overall style of gown that will best suit your body shape. We will discuss fabrics and embellishments, talk about what elements you like and dislike and together we will refine your gown’s design.
What if my size changes throughout the design process?
In your initial design consultation, I will discuss potential sizing changes with you.  If you believe your size might change before the big day, we can arrange additional fittings to insure the completed gown will be a perfect fit.  Should the gown require further alterations after collection, an additional fee will be raised for this work.
How much do you charge for a design consultation?
There is a $50 fee to book your initial design consultation, which will be deducted your first invoice.
How do I pay for my gown?
Payments can be made via direct deposit or in cash.  A 40% deposit is required before any construction on the gown can begin.  The remaining 60% payment will be made in instalments throughout the construction process.  The full payment is required prior to collection of your gown.  If paying by direct deposit, please allow up to three business days for funds to clear, as a transaction receipt will not be accepted as proof of payment.
