TERMS & CONDITIONS
Quote
The quoted price is based on the information provided during the initial consultation (design, fabric preferences, embellishments etc). Should you wish to change any of the design details throughout the construction process, the quote may be altered to accommodate these changes.
Payment
A 40% non-refundable deposit is required prior to commencing construction of the gown.
The remaining 60% payment will be made in 20% instalments throughout the construction process. At each fitting the next 20% instalment will become payable. Payments can be made via direct deposit or in cash. The full payment is required prior to collection of the gown. If paying by direct deposit, please allow up to three business days for funds to clear, as a transaction receipt will not be accepted as proof of payment.
Should you fail to make payment within 7 days of receiving the invoice, a reminder will be sent. If the payment is not made within an additional 7 days, production shall cease until such payment is made. In this instance, there is a risk that the gown may not be completed by the deadline.
Fabrics
At the initial consultation, fabrics and embellishments will be discussed. You will be shown some samples of main fabrics, however, specialty fabrics such as lace, should be selected together. This will ensure your chosen fabrics will be appropriate for the design.
You are more than welcome to supply your own fabrics, however, I may advise against incorporating them if I believe they would affect the quality of the gown. If you choose to provide fabrics, you should purchase the required quantity as advised by myself. Insufficient amounts of fabric will affect the ability to complete the gown as specified in the quote. Any excess fabric will be returned to you with the completed gown.
Fittings
You are required to attend regular fittings to ensure the final gown is a perfect fit. An estimated timeline for fittings will be discussed in the initial consultation, and confirmed at each fitting prior. Should you need to cancel a fitting, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancelled fittings will be rescheduled at a time that suits both parties. Should numerous fittings be cancelled, there is a risk of the gown not being completed by the deadline. However, I will endeavour to complete your gown within the agreed timeline.
Privacy
Your personal information collected during the design process will not be transferred to any third party, without your consent.

At each fitting, progress photos will be taken of you in the gown for reference purposes. These photos will only be seen by myself and deleted once the gown is collected. If you do not wish to have your picture taken, please inform me.
Intellectual Property
The details of your gown including sketches and chosen fabrics will remain confidential. All present and future designs and sketches developed in whole or part by Verity Taylor are the intellectual property of Verity Taylor.
Cancellation Policy
The 40% deposit is non-refundable, however payments made after this amount may be refunded minus the reasonable costs for work already undertaken and materials purchased. In this instance, an itemised account of any costs incurred would be provided. Any materials that you have supplied will be returned. Completed orders will incur full payment.
Refund Policy
Each bespoke bridal gown is made to your exact specifications therefore; a refund will not be provided should you simply change your mind. You are required to articulate any concerns perceived as they arise to ensure a perfectly completed gown.
Collection
During the initial consultation, you will be asked to provide your wedding date and the date the finished gown is required. I recommend that collection of the gown be one month before your wedding date. Upon collection, you will attend a final fitting and confirm that the gown is as requested. The final payment and collection of the gown confirms that you have accepted it as is and signifies the end of our contractual relationship. Should the gown require further alterations after collection, due to weight fluctuation or change of mind, an additional fee will be raised for this work.
All gowns are constructed in accordance with industry standards. Should you find a construction flaw in your gown, it will be resolved prior to the wedding date. The gown will be handed over in a protective garment bag together with care instructions tailored specifically to the fabrics used. Should any damage occur as a result of not following the care instructions, any repairs requested would be at your expense. Please note that bridal fabrics are delicate by nature and should be handled with care.
